Well researched and well composed. Excellent work. It asks so many good questions and refrains from giving any unilateral/shallow answers. As a black queer person, I've personally been day-dreaming about going somewhere less violent where I can create more freely. This piece asks me to consider the violence I might perpetuate in doing so. It asks me to consider if there's a right way, or if there are only ways which are slightly less wrong. Capitalism renders all of us culpable. Trying to do better within its structure is a constant struggle.
