Revolution isn’t a one-and-done. That’s the lie. True revolutionary work is a process. An investment over time in cultivating a new social awareness, with consciousness raising “events” as impetus for conversation/law revision/etc. What’s happening in the United States is a combination of racism and colorism — the difference between racism and colorism is an essay in itself. Colorism stems from racism though. You don’t really find one without the other.
