I hear you. But I disagree. If people make a choice to be colorblind, or to believe that their one black friend means they aren’t racist, and they exist in a world where they have super computers in their pockets and they can educate themselves anytime anywhere. They have made a choice.

I’m willing to make allowances for people without internet access but no one else. If you are a colorblind adult in 2020 you have made, and are continuing to make, a choice to support the existing racist power structure. I don’t think that’s neutral.

They might perceive it as such, but it’s not, because it has real negative effects.

When we treat adults, who it seems cannot be bothered to care about our lives, with kid gloves we really aren’t doing them any favors.
