I have to believe that it wasn’t a mistake, but framed as such to avoid taking responsibility for attacking Rep. Bush in public. It’s like they were playing a game to see how cruel they could be while acting innocuous. Just to see how quickly they could remind Bush how little she and other black women matter in the US despite our accomplishments.

I’m sure whoever said this doesn’t deserve the deference Bush gave them.
